What is the loofah?

The loofah is a climbing plant that can be raised and used as a sponge.  It has been used for thousands of years for body care for its unique exfoliating properties.

After maturation, the vegetable is cropped, cleaned and dried.  Its fruits are cylindrical and during ripening the interior is transformed into a dense network of fibres.

Why use the loofah?

The loofah is uniquely designed to thoroughly clean and massage the skin, together with genesis soap.  Its fibres stimulate blood circulation; the skin will look and feel softer and smoother.  The loofah is considered a vegetable sponge, which has the following advantages:

• It regenerates the skin cells

How do you use the loofah?

The loofah can be used regularly to activate the peripheral circulation, stimulate and drain the lymphatic system, exfoliate and soften the skin.

1. First wet the loofah
2. Second, use it alone or with genesis soap
3. Third, massage in circular movements, starting from the palm of the hands or the feet, working up the body towards the heart.  The intensity of the smassage is determined by the skin type and personal needs.  The loofah is a personal item.  Every family member should have his own loofah.  After use, drain it in order to maintain its qualities for a period of approximately three months.  The Egyptian loofah is machine washable.
