Welcome to the www.genesissoap.co.uk website (the "Website") Terms and Conditions. Genesis Organics Ltd. ("Genesis Soap", "we", "us" or "our") provides the services available on the Website. Your use of this Website is governed by these Terms and Conditions set out below. By using any part of this Website, and/or placing an order on the Website you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
Items can be purchased online via the Website using PayPal. The "Express Checkout" facility by PayPal accepts debit/credit card, bank transfers and PayPal. Alternatively, postal payments may be made by cheque made payable to: Genesis Organics Limited and sent to:

If you wish to make a postal payment, please use the contact form to state which items you wish to purchase. No goods will be despatched until payment is received and debited from your account. We accept no responsibility for any charges you incur by your card issuer or bank as a result of processing a payment in accordance with your order. If your card issuer refuses a payment then your order will not be accepted and we will not be obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal. When a confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice.
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. This is particularly so with handmade soap where batches made may look different to the picture shown.
We charge postage and packing at £3.99 per order for deliveries with the mainland, UK. We will not charge postage for orders of £30.00 and over for deliveries within the mainland, UK. Please contact us for overseas deliveries.
We aim to post your order within three working days of receiving your order. On occasion, we may hit busy periods, so please allow up to seven working days for delivery. Genesis Soap does not accept any liability whatsoever for delayed delivery caused by any third party. We accept no responsibility for incorrect addresses given.
We want you to be absolutely happy with your purchase. Any item can be returned if you are not satisfied with the product providing that it is unused, wrapped and in a re-saleable condition. If you wish to exchange your product, then simply return it in an unopened, unused and in a re-saleable condition within 14 days of receipt, clearly stating which product you require. You will incur the additional postal charges for an exchange.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Any disputes will be governed by English law.
Except in the circumstances of a postponement or cancellation directed by us, your deposit is non-refundable. However, should you be unable to attend on the dates you have booked due to poor health or accident we will offer you a place on any following course. We regret that we are unable to carry this offer forward should you be unable to attend on the following date.
Payment for our soap making
workshops must be received in full at least 10 working days prior to the course
date. Working days are Monday through Friday inclusive.
Cheques must be made payable to 'Genesis Organics Limited' and sent to PO Box 59937, London, SW16 6UW..
Payment by credit or debit card can be made by booking online.
No workshop booking is considered as confirmed until full payment has been received. Full joining instructions will be sent to clients prior to the course start date.
We reserve the right to change the workshop dates, venue and content should the need arise. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled or postponed, you will be given the option of a new workshop date or a full refund but no further liability will be accepted.
Cancellation may be given
verbally or in writing and the client will be liable for the following costs:-
Less than two working days - the client shall remain liable
for the whole cost of the workshop.
Between two and five working days - the client shall remain liable
for 50% of the cost of the workshop.
Over six working days - a refund of the balance over
the non-refundable deposit, minus a 10% handling fee will be given.
Workshop materials are provided for the exclusive use of the workshop participants and may not be reproduced, lent, sold, copied or transmitted to others in any form. Soaps made from the sample recipes may not be offered for sale.
We cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal possessions at the venue.
During the workshop, a heat ring will be used as well as a corrosive alkaline substance called caustic soda which can burn if used carelessly. During the workshop we will require you to exercise great caution when working near the heat ring and we will insist that you wear rubber gloves, eye goggles and a mask when working with caustic substances. For the sake of your personal safety and the safety of all fellow participants, we reserve the right to exclude from the workshop (without refund), any person who fails to follow our safety instructions or whom we consider, for whatever reason, to be working unsafely with equipment and / or ingredients. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries that occur as a result of personal negligence.
Genesis Soap will provide protective aprons and any necessary hand, eye and mouth protection. Workshop participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a long sleeved top. Workshop participants must be aware that they may be handling oils, cosmetic colours and other ingredients that may stain clothing. Workshop participants with long hair should bring something to tie their hair back with. As we will be 'cooking' products, it is likely that much of the day will be spent standing up and therefore comfortable footwear is a must.
By booking a Genesis Soap workshop, the participant agrees to take full personal responsibility for any accident/injury that may be sustained whilst attending the workshop, waiving any liability whatsoever from Genesis Organics Ltd and/or its directors and indemnifying Genesis Organics Ltd and/or any of its staff fully against any and all losses that may result from any legal action that may follow any accident or injury sustained whilst attending a Genesis Soap workshop. Acceptance of the training by the workshop participant indicates acceptance of the above terms and conditions.
